ROCKFORD BALL SCREW DOUBLES MANUFACTURING FLOORSPACE
WITH NEW FACILITY

ROCKFORD, IL, October 16, 2005 – Rockford Ball Screw Company has relocated to a new manufacturing facility that gives the company twice its previous manufacturing floorspace to meet fast-growing demand for an expanding line of standard and pre-loaded ball screws, ACME screws and ancillary products.

The modern new 52,000 sq. ft. Rockford, IL facility is strategically located in close proximity to Chicago-Rockford International Airport, Chicago's O-Hare International Airport and major midwest metropolitan areas. According to Rockford Ball Screw, the facility will help give the company an important competitive advantage going forward. Our customers need shorter leadtimes on a broad array of high-quality products in order to compete in today's global marketplace. The new facility will enable us to bring greater productivity, efficiency and quality to all of our day-to-day engineering and manufacturing operations so that we can deliver the best ball screw solution faster and more efficiently.

The new facility is just the latest in a series of initiatives at Rockford Ball Screw that have helped the company achieve double-digit growth in sales and increased marketshare over the last several years.
